The School of Humanities at Penn State Harrisburg has a proven history of quality teaching and a reputation for excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. Humanities graduates have established themselves in more than 200 different career fields ranging from business and teaching to archives management and public relations. The School's nearly 1,200 graduates live in thirty-nine different states and work in a variety of companies in positions ranging from operation of a self-owned publishing business to president of a large food distribution agency, from communications specialist in a large state agency to supervisor of a major production distribution facility, from high school teacher to trainer for a national corporation, and from public relations director to professional editor.

This University provides both on-campus and off-campus housing to the students. Residence Life at Penn State Harrisburg encompasses more than just the residential facilities. Included in the concept is a human services component - the personal advice and guidance, programs and special services designed to enhance the out-of-classroom experience. The Village at Capital College apartment complex offers 74 units for 328 students. First-year student apartments provide three double-occupancy bedrooms and one triple-occupancy bedroom, while upper-class student apartments provide four single-occupancy bedrooms. All apartments feature a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and two full bathrooms with a washer/dryer unit. The Community Center provides a lounge area, meeting space, Residence Life offices, and mailboxes. Classrooms, the library, athletic fields, gym, and other campus facilities are nearby. Parking is also conveniently located near the complex. The apartment amenities are: couch, chair, coffee table, window seat, full-size refrigerator, stove, table with four chairs.
