The Stockbridge School at the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus offers an Associate Degree to highly motivated individuals. It is unique in that all core courses are part of an undergraduate curriculum and all of its faculty teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, participate in research and are highly trained professionals. Stockbridge students have all the advantages of being members of the larger UMass community while keeping the close student-faculty relationships. Students can be involved in a broad range of activities, including clubs, intramural sports and residential activities. Stockbridge is the small school with big opportunities.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst provides on-campus, off-campus and family housing. UMass Amherst residence halls provide forty-five residence halls and four apartment buildings that are grouped into six separate and very different residential areas: Central, Northeast, Orchard Hill, Southwest, Sylvan and North. Each hall possesses its own distinctive characteristics, inspired in part by location, architecture, and by the different cultural or academic living/learning programs housed within. Each residential area houses classrooms, recreational and social centers, kitchenettes, and cultural centers. The dining program provides students, faculty and staff with an array of dining options, ranging from self-serve buffet style programs in residential locations to retail dining and the finest in catering. All freshman and sophomores living in the residence halls are required to purchase one of the three residential meal plans. All other students may select any of the residential meal plans. Family Housing offers twelve studio apartments located in Lincoln Apartments offering total 185 one-bedroom and 124 two-bedroom apartments, which are all located in either Lincoln or North Village. Family Housing also has twelve one-bedroom apartments modified for the physically disabled. There are ten furnished one-bedroom apartments in Lincoln, which can be rented for an additional fee. To be eligible to live in Family Housing, students must be married, in a domestic partnership.
