Entry requirement for international students
A minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 (out of 4.00) or foreign equivalent, as determined by the admitting department. Students can prove English proficiency in a number of ways at the undergraduate level. Most students fulfill the English requirement by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Most undergraduate programs require the following minimum scores: 515 (Toefl paper-based test), or 187 (Toefl computer-based test), or 66 (Toefl Internet-based test), or Ielts overall band score of 5.5. The colleges of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), Business and Engineering require higher TOEFL scores, as follows: 550 (TOEFL paper-based test), or 213 (TOEFL computer-based test), or 79 (TOEFL internet-based test), or IELTS overall band score of 6.0.Students should take Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) to qualify for certain programs and scholarships.
