Course summary
The mission of the Andover College travel and hospitality management program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions in the travel and hospitality industry. All aspects of travel are studied, including airline, rail, cruise, motor coach, meetings, food and beverage, and accommodations. The ability to work in teams and to understand coworkers and client needs in all modes of communication is an integral part of success in the travel and hospitality industry. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an associate of applied science degree.

The modules are as follows: MT 101 Introduction to Management, TH 101 Travel Concepts, TH 102 Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service, TH 107 Tourism World Geography, TH 115 Cruises, TH 117 Introduction to Hospitality, TH 202 Food and Beverage Management, TH 206 Hotel Front Office Management, TH 210 Automated Reservation Systems, TH 230 Global Tour Planning, TH 250 Industry Specialist, TH 299 Capstone Course in Travel and Hospitality.
Entry requirement for international students
An applicant seeking admission to Andover College must be a high school graduate or possess a General Education Development (GED) certificate or possess a Home Study certificate or transcript from a Home Study program that is equivalent to high school level and is recognized by the student's home state. All applicants must complete an informational interview. They must obtain minimum TOEFL scores of 477 on the paper-based test or 153 on the computer-based test or Kaplan’s most advanced-level English language courses, if English is not the student’s primary language.
