Course summary
This program prepares students to pursue a baccalaureate degree in history. Through exposure to a broad spectrum of human experience in the past and present, students come to understand their relationship to other human beings and the structure of society. The history major is useful to students who wish to seek a career in such fields as teaching, journalism, archival work, government, politics, and law.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have earned a certificate of completion of secondary education that would enable the student to be admitted to a university in his or her home country, have studied mathematics and science subjects at the secondary level, a minimum score of 173(CBT) or 61/120 (IBT) in TOEFL (College of Engineering and Computer Science requires 197(CBT) or 71/120(IBT)), a minimum score of band 5 in IELTS, 1140 or higher in SAT or 25 or higher in ACT for coming directly out of secondary school with GPA is 3.25 or higher and must ranked among the top 10% of their graduating class.
