Course summary
This degree is equivalent to the first two years of the BFA program, which introduces the candidates to the field of industrial design. Industrial design courses hone the student's mastery of industrial design materials, developmental drawing, 3D model-making and construction practices. The program emphasizes the identification and resolution of design problems and the nurturing of creativity and innovation. The curriculum is geared toward the industry by teaching the skills that are in demand. Students have access to state-of-the-art 3D modeling systems. The program assists students in finding internships that will further their skills as well as create competitive portfolios. Students achieve expertise in problem solving and high-level technology while gaining exposure to the design and business community. Final projects include a thorough analysis of design, concept, and aesthetic perspective.

Entry requirement for international students
The university requires all students in degree-seeking programs to have a high school degree or an equivalency. If the students do not have TOEFL scores they may request to take an English placement test through the Academy online.
