Course summary
This program students receive training in the core sub fields of the discipline and choose from a variety of topics that allow for greater specialization. Members of the faculty have conducted extended research in Africa, India, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the United States, and they are dedicated to bringing their real-world experiences into the classroom. Faculty members devote much attention to students, and majors have an opportunity to work closely with their professors.

The courses are: Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Introduction to Biological Anthropology, Introduction to World Archaeology, Gender in Cross-Cultural Prospective, Life History, Economic Anthropology, Political Anthropology, Anthropology of Religion, Cultures of the Americas, Ethnology, Cultures of the World, Perspectives in Anthropology, Culture and Personality, Culture Contact and Change, Peasant Communities, Human Ecology, Cultures of Sub-Saharan Africa, Cultures of Latin America, Cultures of Southeast Asia, Problems in Southeast Asian Anthropology, Pacific Island Cultures, History of Anthropological Thought, Seminar in Cultural Anthropology, Anthropology Internship, Biological Anthropology, Archaeological Anthropology.
Entry requirement for international students
Admission requirements are as follows for different countries: Students from India must possess Higher Secondary Certificate, Indian School Certificate or All India and Delhi Senior School Certificate with a grade of 75%. Students from Indonesia must have completed DANEM/SMA with grades of 7/10. Pakistan students must possess Intermediate or Higher Secondary School Certificate with a 55%. Students from Malaysia must have completed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia with a 6 passes grade 6 or lower. Students from Myanmar should have a Bachelors degree with grade point of 3.5/5. Students from Saudi Arabia must have General Secondary Education Certificate with 75%. Singapore students must complete the Singapore-Cambridge GCSE O Levels with 6 passes graded D or higher. Students from China should have Senior Middle School Certificate with B/80%. Students from United Kingdom should have completed GCSE with 6 passes graded C or higher. Scores of ACT or SAT and TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based, 213 on the computer-based, 80 on the internet based or a score of 6.5 on the IELTS exam are required.
