Entry requirement for international students
The applicant must be a high school graduate or have been awarded a High School EquivalencyCertificate by completing theGeneral EducationDevelopment (GED) test. Preference for admission is given to applicants who rank in the top 30 percent of their high school graduating class and present a composite score of 21 or higher on the ACT or a combined score of 950 or higher on the SAT. Applicants must have an admission index score of 93. Freshman applicants, who graduate from high school in 2008 or 2009, must meet the state of ColoradoHigher Education Admission Requirements (HEAR) which include the following minimum high school courses: English four years (units), Mathematics three years (units), Natural Science three years (units), two of which must be lab-based Social Studies three years (units), one of which must be United States or world history, Academic Electives two years (units). Freshman applicants, who graduate from high school in 2010 or later, must meet the state of ColoradoHigher Education Admission, Requirements (HEAR) which include the following minimum high school enrollment are calculated for unit completion in a manner that may differ from year-long course offerings.
