Course summary
This program is designed for students who expect to continue Classical Studies at the graduate level. It aims to provide the level of linguistic proficiency in both Greek and Latin that is commonly expected of applicants to rigorous graduate programs. The program assumes that, in addition to the requirements for the major, students have completed, or have credit for, a year of language study in either Greek or Latin.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum TOEFL score of 600 or higher on the old Paper Based TOEFL, 250 or higher on Computer Based TOEFL, or 104 or higher on the new Internet Based TOEFL is required. Minimum required scores in the IELTS are an overall score of 7, with sub scores of 7 each.
