Course summary
The program in West Slavic studies aims to give students essential skills in written and spoken Czech or Polish, as well as a close acquaintance with Czech or Polish literature, culture, and history. The program is ideal for students preparing for graduate study, as well as for those interested in a career in government, diplomacy, or business in which knowledge of Czech or Polish is useful.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum TOEFL score of 600 or higher on the old Paper Based TOEFL, 250 or higher on Computer Based TOEFL, or 104 or higher on the new Internet Based TOEFL is required. Minimum required scores in the IELTS are an overall score of 7, with sub scores of 7 each.
