Course summary
This program encourages development of a personal vision which incorporates creative, practical, intellectual, and aesthetic values. Within the context of a liberal arts education, the program provides a broad background in the field and in the diversity of film and television practice, including courses in history and theory, critical thinking, animation, screen writing, and the fundamentals of film, video, and television production.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed secondary school and have not enrolled in a regular session at any college or university. They must have completed secondary school with a superior average in academic subjects and have earned a certificate of completion which enables the student to be admitted to a university in the home country. Students who have attended school under the British system must present five GCSE/Ordinary-Level examinations and at least three Advanced-Level examinations with superior grades. Results of Advanced-Supplementary or Higher-Level exams should also be submitted. They must have taken scores in ACT assessment plus the new ACT writing test or SAT reasoning test or subject test in English (literature), history/social studies, mathematics (level 2), science and languages (other than English). Applicants whose native language is not in English must have Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 83 or higher on the Internet-based test, 220 or higher on the computer-based test, 550 or higher on the paper-based test and International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 7 or higher on the academic module is required for admission.
