Course summary
Students in this program receive grounding in production practice, independent film producing, entertainment ethics and an understanding of the role of the artist in society. The curriculum’s course work in ethics in entertainment and dramatic analysis are two unique components of the program. Students completing the degree will be prepared for entry level positions in film production, producing and management, or advanced graduate level education.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicant should be a high school graduate and should have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A=4.0) from a secondary school. They do not require ACT or SAT tests, but it is necessary to have English language proficiency either a minimum score of 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based), or 61 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or minimum overall band of 6.0 with no band below 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). There are exceptions to TOEFL or IELTS scores for applicants who have completed their junior and senior years in a U.S. high school with SAT Verbal score of 550 or ACT English score of 23 and applicants who have completed a minimum of 48 transferable semester credits including 6 credits of freshman English composition at a U.S. college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
