Course summary
This program enables students to become fluent in French and provides a broad knowledge of French and Francophone literature and culture. Lower-division courses emphasize the acquisition of language skills. Upper-division courses focus on developing language fluency and introducing students to a variety of critical approaches to analyzing French and Francophone literature and culture.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must demonstrate sufficient academic preparation to achieve success in their studies at Syracuse University; the ability to pay for their education here; and proficiency in the English language. International students must have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 85 or minimum IELTS score of 6.5.
