Course summary
The bachelor of arts in geography allows students to combine interest in geography with a variety of other disciplines. The degree consists of two components: (1) a core program of at least 28 semester hours of geography courses from an approved list; and (2) an approved double major, disciplinary minor, interdisciplinary minor, or certificate (or a coherent 18-hour combination of courses approved by an advisor and the department chair).

Entry requirement for international students
Applicants should have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) for course work completed in grades 9 through 12. Level of difficulty of course work selected throughout high school, particularly in the areas of English, mathematics, social studies, laboratory science, and foreign language. A minimum TOEFL score of 88 or higher on the internet-based exam, 230 or higher on the computer-based exam, and 570 or higher on the paper-based exam or a minimum score of 6.5 on IELTS is required. A minimum score of 450 or higher on the SAT I critical reading section or an ACT-English score of 20 or higher is also required.
