Course summary

This program consists of 33 credit hours of coursework, 30 hours of internship and a minor. Core courses cover such topics as leadership, administration, risk management, promotions, programming and budgeting. A pre-internship class assists in successful internship and career preparation and placement. Emphasis is placed on practical application of current ideas and technologies, extensive contact and involvement with professionals and alumni, and the development of competencies sought by employers.Undergraduate students may earn college credit for supervised field experiences that allow face-to-face leadership opportunities in a recreation setting.

Entry requirement for international students

Students should have high school grade point average of 3.33 and an average ACT score of 23 or SAT scores. Additional qualities of Extra-curricular and leadership activities, Work experience, and Volunteer service are an added advantage. The required scores of TOEFL are 213 (550 on the paper-based test) or MELAB scores of 80 or higher.
