Course summary
Instruction and practical experience in animal science (selection, breeding/reproduction, nutrition, physiology, behavior) and appropriate courses in business provide students the basic knowledge and skills to manage commercial or research enterprises in the horse or livestock (dairy/beef, poultry, sheep, swine) industries, or pursue careers in related/supporting fields such as the feed and animal health care industries, zoos, or wildlife preserves.

Entry requirement for international students
Applicants who studied in Indian schools are requested to submit the Higher Secondary Certificate and Secondary School Certificate. Those who have studied are requested to submit Hong Kong Certificate of Education and/or British GCE "O" and or "A" Level exams, and Pakistan students are requested to submit 10th and 12th grade mark sheets (Matriculation and Intermediate Certificate). Applicants whose secondary schooling has been outside the US in a country where English is not the principal language, regardless of US residency status, are requested to take TOEFL, IELTS and MELAB (Michigan English Assessment Battery). Acceptable TOEFL scores are 550+ on the paper and pencil test or 79+ on the Internet-based test. A score of 7 or higher on either the academic paper and pencil test or the academic computer-based test in IELTS is acceptable for admission. The minimum required MELAB score is 82.
