Course summary
This program is a building-oriented discipline, which offers students an opportunity to obtain an engineering education specializing in building architecture, building-system integration, and structural and computer-aided design. Professional architectural engineers are concerned with the structural integrity of buildings; the design and analysis of HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning), plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems; acoustic; lighting; energy conservation; building science and the study of building performance; and the management of construction resources and schedules. Graduates of the architectural engineering program will be well prepared for careers as consulting engineers, building contractors, construction managers, structural engineers and knowledgeable specialists in related areas of building design and analysis.

Entry requirement for international students
Students should have 4 years of English, 4 years of Mathematics, including Pre-Calculus, 3 years of Science, including 2 years of labs, 2 years of Social Sciences, Computer, technology, and other courses recommended, but not required. 2 years of a foreign language is also required. Students should have a TOEFL score of 550 on the paper test, 213 on the computer-based test or 80 on the Internet-based test or a minimum overall score of 6.5 on the IELTS. All freshman students and Transfer students with less than 30 credit hours are required to take either the SAT I or ACT test.
