Course summary

This program prepares students for the BOC Certification Examination and careers in athletic training by providing quality coursework and offering exposure to a variety of directed clinical education experiences and allied health professionals. This provides a kaleidoscope of learning adventures for students. Our students, faculty and clinical instructors are committed to growth as athletic trainers and as people. Within this program every person has voice and a role in reaching the common goals of providing supreme learning experiences and superior healthcare to the physically active.

Program modules

The courses are: Principles of Biology I and Laboratory, Human Anatomy and Physiology I, Human Anatomy and Physiology II, Introduction to Athletic Training, Clinical in Athletic Training, First Aid, Safety, and CPR, Topics in Athletic Training, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis I, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis II, Practicum in Athletic Training, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis III, Organization and Administration in Athletic Training, Pharmacology and Pathology in Athletic Training, Rehabilitation Techniques in Athletic Training , Therapeutic Modalities in Athletic Training, Seminar in Athletic Training, Personal Health, Applied Biomechanics, Physiology of Exercise, Introduction to Human Nutrition, Nutrition for Performance, Precalculus Algebra, General Physics I, Introduction to Psychology.

Entry requirement for international students

Students should perform above the average; they must have completed their secondary school cycle or must have qualified by examination for admission to a university in their home country. The minimum score of TOEFL are 173 computer-based, 500 paper-based, or 61 Internet-based. The ACT of 28 or better or SAT of 1240 or better are required.
