Course summary
Students completing these programs will receive two degrees: the BS in Chemical Engineering and the MS in Bioengineering. This program is accelerated because students may double-count (i.e., simultaneously count in both the BS and MS Programs) 12 hours. Students must complete an M.S. thesis in the field of bioengineering. This M.S. degree opens opportunities for research and development jobs in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and biomedical fields.

The modules include CH E 2002 Introduction to Chemical Engineering Computing, CH E 2033 Chemical Engineering Fundamentals, CH E 2133 Sustainable Energy for the Future, CH E 2153 Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Concepts and Applications, CH E 2281 Engineering Co-Op Program, CH E 2313 Structure and Properties of Materials, CH E 3113 Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer I.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should possess graduation from an accredited high school or they should have received a GED. The high school curricular core requirements should include the following courses: 4 units of English, 3 units of college prep math, 3 units of laboratory science, 3 units of history and citizenship and 2 additional units. An official TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based test (213 on the computer-based test or 79 on the internet-based test), IELTS score of 6.5 and cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) is required.
