Course summary
The BS in Computer Science - Systems Track program provides the students with skills required to compete in today’s computing environment and to be able to adapt to tomorrow. Much effort is expended ensuring that the program is viable and current, focusing on the newer technologies and emphasizing applications of current methods for design and engineering of software systems. Computer Science majors take computer science courses in programming and problem solving, data structures, algorithms, programming languages, databases, web design and development, and computer networks. The program is broad and rigorous, but it is structured in a way that supports in-depth study of contemporary Computer Science. With the advisor, the computer science major is expected to put together a program of study that supports career objectives and is true to the aims of a Computer Science education.

Entry requirement for international students
Students who are entering freshmen with high school class graduated within the previous five years must have a high school academic Grade Point Average of 2.5, have taken 16 units in the College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC), and should have SAT scores of 490 Critical Reading and 460 Math, or ACT scores of 20 English and 19 Math. Minimum required Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score for admission is as follows: paper-based score of 550, a computer-based score of 213, or a Internet based score of 79.
