Course summary
This program prepares the students for a professional career and/or graduate study in geological sciences. Students studying geology as a major will elect an option in traditional geology or environmental geology/hydrogeology. Most geoscientists work in the petroleum industry, mining industry, environmental firms, and in government agencies.

Entry requirement for international students
Applicants should possess a high school diploma, G.E.D or an equivalent qualification. International students, whose native language is not English, must have a minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 530 (paper-based) or 71 (internet-based). Students may also take the IELTS or SAT in lieu of the TOEFL. A minimum score of 420 on the Critical Reading Section of the SAT or an overall score of 6.0 with no sub score below 5.5 in IELTS is required for admission.
