Course summary

The CAD option is designed for students who would like to specialize in computer aided drafting. CAD is used in industry, service, and government for research, marketing, product development, and product design in general. The CAD option is often times attractive for students who would like to work in more technical role. Student interested in careers as manufacturing engineers or engineering technicians may find the product design and development aspects of this option desirable. Students who want to work specifically with CAD will find they are prepared for this career path as well but will also have the broader knowledge base the Industrial Management degree provides.

The modules include IDM110 Industrial Design with Computer Applications, IDM311 Engineering Graphics, IDM411 Mechanical Design and Analysis, CIS260 Applications Development I, CIS270 Applications Development II.
