Course summary
This degree requires no minor and thus allows the student to take a more extensive selection of mathematics and statistics courses. The Extended option would be ideal for the student intent on pursuing a graduate degree or a career in one of the four emphasis areas.Students may choose one of the four emphases for this degree - mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.

Entry requirement for international students
The Candidates to be admitted to Northern Arizona University must meet the general requirements described below: Evidence of Academic Achievement: Students must have completed secondary school, and official school documents - transcripts or mark sheets - must reflect academic success. Students academic record must show at least a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) or equivalent to be admissible to Northern Arizona University. English Language Proficiency: If English is not students first or native language, they must demonstrate English-language proficiency. This can be done in one of the following ways: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 70 on the new Internet-based TOEFL (iBT), 193 on the computer-based TOEFL (CBT), or 525 on the paper-based test (PBT) taken within the past 2 years. IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of band 6.0 or better. ACT (English sub-score of 21 is required) or SAT (verbal score of 510 is required).Scores must be received from the testing organization (copies are not acceptable); Evidence of Financial Support and Financial Guarantee; Complete Application Packet.
