Program modules
Modules include: TWC301 General Principles of Multimedia Writing, TWC347 Written Communication for Managers, TWC401 Principles of Technical Communication, TWC421 Principles of Writing for Technology, APM301 Introductory Statistics, and at least twenty hours from: TWC411 Principles of Visual Communication, TWC431 Principles of Technical Editing, TWC44X genre series course, such as TWC443 Proposal Writing, TWC45X information series course, such as TWC452 Information in the Digital Age, TWC3/4XX elective, TWC499 directed instruction (2 credits), TWC490 Capstone.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicant should be a high school graduate and should have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A=4.0) from a secondary school. They do not require ACT or SAT tests, but it is necessary to have English language proficiency either a minimum score of 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based), or 61 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or minimum overall band of 6.0 with no band below 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). There are exceptions to TOEFL or IELTS scores for applicants who have completed their junior and senior years in a U.S. high school with SAT Verbal score of 550 or ACT English score of 23 and applicants who have completed a minimum of 48 transferable semester credits including 6 credits of freshman English composition at a U.S. college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
