Course summary
This program offers broad, liberal arts study in theatre arts complemented by courses from across the University curriculum. The required courses in the major give students a strong core of theatre knowledge and experience. Students are urged to broaden their study by selecting a minor or second major in literature, culture, language, the social sciences, or the arts as appropriate to their career goals and in consultation with their academic adviser.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed high school diploma or a GED. In addition, the individual has attempted fewer than 26 semester (39 quarter) credits at a post-secondary institution. If a student is graduating from high school and has less than 26 semester credits, she/he will be considered a new entering freshman, allowing the student to be considered for merit scholarships and participation in Academic Orientation. High school students should have completion of a minimum of the following courses: 4 years English, 3 years math (including a minimum of algebra, intermediate algebra, and geometry), 3 years science (1 year each of biological and physical science), 3 years social studies (including U.S. history) and 2 years single second language. Scores from either the ACT or SAT exams including writing is required. International students must have minimum TOEFL scores of 550 Written, 213 Computer, 80 Internet (iBT) or an IELTS score of 6.5.
