Course summary
This program is a thorough liberal arts degree that provides the students with a general knowledge of major artists, styles, and monuments of both Western and non Western art. Writing and reading assignments within the courses and the Art History Senior Thesis will further critical thinking, analysis, and knowledge of theory and methods. Knowledge of at least one foreign language will enable students to use primary source materials in their further career. The core requirements in studio will give students insights into the creative process.

Entry requirement for international students
Students should be graduates of accredited high schools and must have TOEFL with a score of 500 or better on the paper and pencil exam or 173 or better on the computer based exam or 61 or better on the web-based exam; or completion of Level 109 at an English Language School (ELS); or A minimum score of 80 on the Michigan Test of English Proficiency (MELAB); or a score of 5.5 or better on the IELTS.
