Course summary
Undergraduates in Chemistry have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and gain hands-on experience through faculty-mentored research programs. Students in their second year are encouraged to meet with faculty members to discuss their interests and plan a successful project. In addition to research for course credit, a number of funding opportunities can be found at the University of Miami Office of Undergraduate Research.
Program modules
The B.A. degree requires 27 credits of chemistry: the core courses; CHM 331 or 360; plus electives from the following sufficient to reach the required credit hours for the degree: CHM 316, 320, 365, CHM 401, CHM 531, 520 or BMB 401. This major is designed for premedical students, high school science teachers, and others who choose a non-science minor. It may be combined with business courses in an interdisciplinary program.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicant should be a high school graduate or students from educational Systems should have GCE results. The SAT score is not required, but they should have official TOEFL test scores and Bank sponsorship letter.
