Course summary
This program includes fieldwork in New York City public schools. Students must take a specified sequence of education courses in addition to fulfilling the general education requirement (GER) and the requirements of their major.

Entry requirement for international students
Students will be considered on the basis of overall strength of academic preparation; grades in individual subjects; overall high school average; and SAT or ACT scores. Applicants who have taken the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) examination must submit test scores and can be eligible provided they have taken the required academic units in high school. The college recommends four years of English, four years of social studies, three years of mathematics, two years of a foreign language, two years of laboratory sciences, and one year of performing or visual arts as the academic preparation needed for success in college. International applicants whose primary language is not English must demonstrate a firm command of the English language by scoring a minimum of 500 on the TOEFL.
