Course summary
The BA Degree in Art is a more generalized program than the BFA. BA candidates must complete the three foundations courses and five additional required studio courses. Four art electives must also be completed, of which no more than three can be within the same art discipline. The two introductory Art History survey courses are also required for the major. Unlike the BFA Degree, this degree allows students to pursue a minor from another discipline. This approach allows a student to concentrate in fine art while taking advantage of a wide variety of 21-credit minor offerings campus-wide for a rounded more liberal arts degree.
