Entry requirement for international students
Freshmen and transfer students may apply to UMKC as pre-education and are admitted based on general University requirements. Candidates for admission to the School of Education are required to have completed the majority of their general education and pre-education coursework with a 2.75 cumulative GPA at the time of application (the priority deadline is March 1 of each year for admission the following summer). Applicants who have graduated from high school within five years of admission to teacher education program must also submit a score for either the ACT or SAT exam. A passing score on all sections of the College Basic Academic Subjects Examination (C-BASE) is required of all students.
