Course summary
This program offers a traditional area-studies focus or a thematic focus. Both provide strong training in at least one Asian language, knowledge of the histories and cultures of the societies in which that language is used, a sense of how academic disciplines contribute to interdisciplinary study, and knowledge of transnational Asia beyond the primary language and civilization focus.

Entry requirement for international students
Students must have satisfactorily completed high school (secondary school) with a B average or a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale. Students must have a minimum score of 500 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language or 61 on the internet-based TOEFL or a minimum score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
