The Department is housed in the Life Sciences Building, where it occupies approximately 80,000 sq. ft. of floor space. In addition to the numerous research labs, there are 13 lecture rooms that hold 20 to 200 students, and 18 fully equipped teaching laboratories. Approximately 25 offices are available for graduate student use.

The university offers: Arlington Hall, Brazos House, Kalpana Chawla Hall, Lipscomb North, Lipscomb South, Trinity House. Each residence hall has a small community kitchen, available to all residents. Student may also purchase a Dining Services meal plan. Microwave cooking is allowed in rooms. However, hot plates, electric skillets, coffee pots, toaster ovens, or other appliances are not allowed. Residents may also bring or rent a refrigerator. Refrigerators may not exceed 4.3 cubic feet and are limited to one per room. Room Features are: Private and double occupancy rooms, Fully furnished, All utilities paid, Air-conditioned, Deluxe-cable TV service in each room, Dedicated Ethernet connection for each resident, Metro phone line in each room, Individual contract - no additional cost to you if other residents don’t pay.
