The chemistry major offers a broad training in modern chemistry, covering the major subfields biochemistry, inorganic, organic, and physical and allowing students to pursue their special interest(s).

The modules include CHSC 3b Solving Environmental Challenges: The Role of Chemistry, CHSC 5a The Magnitude of Things and How on Earth They Matter, CHSC 6a Forensic Science, CHSC 8b Chemistry and Art, CHEM 11a General Chemistry, CHEM 11b General Chemistry, CHEM 15a Honors General Chemistry: Principles of Material Evolution, CHEM 15b Honors General Chemistry: Principles of Material Evolution, CHEM 18a General Chemistry Laboratory I.

Entry requirement for international students

Students should have a high school diploma, G.E.D or an equivalent qualification. International applicants, whose native language is not English, are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System examination (IELTS) exam. Admission also requires scores from the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT with Writing.
