Course summary
This program requires the highest level of excellence on the instrument or voice, core music classes, three semesters of a foreign language, an oral comprehensive exam, and a solo senior recital (Level 10.). The training emphasizes music performance as a career and prepares the student for further performance study in graduate school.

Entry requirement for international students
Students should have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent and must have earned a 2.00 or equivalent college(s) grade point average on a 4.00 scale on all credits earned at other institutions.; have one of the following ACT scores: composite of 20 or a SAT I combined score of 950 or better and a high school or college(s) grade point average of 2.00 or better; or composite of 17 or SAT I combined score of 820 or better and a high school or college(s) grade point average of 3.00 or better; or composite of 20 or an SAT I combined score of 950 or better and a GED score of 53 or better; a minimum score of 500 on the TOEFL exam. International students scoring between 500-550 on the TOEFL are required to take English 180 and are permitted to take no more than 12 credit hours (including English 180) during their first semester of enrollment and students scoring 550 or above on the TOEFL will qualify for regular admission to the College. Admitted students may still be required to take English 180.
