Course summary
This program students will learn to use writing effectively including current modes and evolving technologies to explore subject matter and to communicate. They will develop understanding of subject matter in relation to larger historical and/or cultural contexts, including multicultural contexts. Make connections between theory and practice, applying that theory not only to understanding texts, but also to solving. problems and teaching effectively. Generalize from experiences with texts, communication situations and teaching situations and develop skills of creative and/or critical thinking.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have a high school record that includes four units of English; three units each of mathematics, science and social studies; two units of a foreign language; and one unit of visual or performing arts with a cumulative grade point average. Scores of SAT, ACT and TOEFL are also required.
