The modules are 55 credits above the 100 level; maximum of 15 credits at the 200 level; FREN 425 is not applicable to major. FREN 301 - GRAMMAR REVIEW, FREN 302 - WRITTEN EXPOSITION, FREN 314 – PHONETICS, One course from: FREN 331 - CIVILISATION ET CULTURE FRANCAISES, FREN 332 - CIVILISATION ET CULTURE DU QUEBEC, Two courses from: FREN 340 - INTRODUCTION TO FRENCH LITERATURE I, FREN 341 - INTRODUCTION TO FRENCH LITERATURE II, FREN 342 - INTRODUCTION TO FRENCH LITERATURE III, FREN 385 - CULTURE AND CONVERSATION, FREN 401 - ELEMENTS DE STYLISTIQUE (must be taken on campus) and one other 400-level French course.
Entry requirement for international students
International students should have a minimum score on the TOEFL of 80 (internet-based), 213 (computer-based), or 550 (paper-based). However, students with lower TOEFL scores, and/or students who are unable to take the TOEFL, may be admitted with an Academic English Program (AEP) provision if they have previously studied in the United States, completed college-level English 101 and English 102 prior to enrollment earning grades of B (3.0) or better, and demonstrate strong academic achievement.
