This program is for those who want to combine Geology with computer technology to display and analyze spatial data using the GIS software.

1425 (Earth Systems), 1426 (Earth Systems History) or 2406 (Geologic Time), 2445 (Mineralogy), 2446 (Petrology), 3441 (Paleontology), 3442 (Sedimentology), 3443 (Structure), 4330 (Understanding GIS), 4331 (Analysis of Spatial Data), 4332 (Geographic Positioning System), 4333 (Remote Sensing), Natural Science other than Geology: Biology, 8 hrs (1441 and 1442), Chemistry, 8 hrs (1441 and 1442), Physics, 8 hrs (1441 and 1442), Mathematics: College Algebra and Trigonometry (1324 or 1302 and 1303), Statistics (1308 or 3316).
Entry requirement for international students
Students should have completed official secondary school (high school) transcripts, diplomas, certificates, and/or national test examination scores as appropriate for the educational system in their country. Students must possess the equivalent of a U.S. high school graduation based upon a combined elementary and secondary pattern of twelve years with a better than average academic record.
