Course summary
This program has combining coursework in five areas: Economics, Geography, History, Political Science and Foreign Language. One of the special features of the program is its foreign language component, which consists of both coursework and a language - proficiency examination. That combination effectively certifies at least a certain minimal level of foreign language competency which is highly prized by potential employers.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicant should have 2.75 minimum overall G.P.A and no grade lower than C in concentration course work, Early Adolescence, Inquiry I, II, College English I, II, Math Concepts I, II. They should have satisfactory rating in Field Experience I, qualifying score on Praxis I in Mathematics, Reading, Writing, satisfactory rating on the Faculty Interview. They should have Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 525 (a score of 197 on the computerized version, or 71 on the Internet based version) or minimum Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 77.
