Course summary
The Women and Gender Studies curriculum is built upon a shared commitment to the principles of educational excellence and educational opportunity. It is structured to ensure that students are exposed to the sophisticated body of knowledge that now defines Women and Gender Studies as a discipline, even while allowing students the opportunity to develop skills in research, writing, and analysis. Consequently, there are prerequisites for upper-division courses.

Entry requirement for international students
Students should have completed high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). The minimum college preparatory subjects are: English (4 units), Mathematics (3 units), Natural Science (2 units with a laboratory component), History/Social Science (2 units) and one unit of U.S. history. Students whose primary language is not English may be required to submit their Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) results.
