Course summary
The Interior Design BFA program within Georgia State University's Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design prepares students for the highly complex and evolving field of interior design. Capitalizing on its presence within a highly successful fine arts school, the GSU interiors program is designed to exploit that fine arts foundation and provide students with the critical insights, skills, and experience necessary to enter the field as successful licensed professionals. The contemporary practice of interior design demands highly adept problem solvers and practitioners familiar with the complexity of modern space design-- mastery of current technologies in drawing production, 3D modeling, lighting, materials and building technologies is required. The program at GSU prepares its students with these requisite skills in the context of innovative and creative explorations of space, form, texture, and light.
