Course summary
This program offer the student courses to develop a wide range of skills needed in Stage Management. The program is a flexible blend of the many of the other degree programs offered by the school with a special focus on Stage Management. This program is thereby able to successfully accommodate majors who wish to pursue Stage Management, but have a background or secondary interest in Acting, Design and Production, or Dance. Included in the program of study are a wide range of courses in the many areas which interact with stage management, and extensive practical experience is also available in lab situations and through crew work on productions.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have certificate of graduation or its equivalent from an accredited secondary school and a satisfactory scholastic record. Twenty-one acceptable units of secondary school credit in which four courses in English and mathematics, three courses in science and at least one course in physical science. Applicants who have completed at least 24 credit hours at a U.S. institution of higher education and received a grade of B or better for an academic English writing/composition course will be exempt from the English proficiency requirement. They must have a completion of Level 5 of the INTERLINK Language Center and the score of 420 on the SAT I Critical Reading or 17 on the Combined English/Writing section of the ACT. Non-native speakers of English are required to provide an evidence of English proficiency of TOEFL with a minimum score of 500 on paper-based or 173 on computer-based or 61 on internet based test and IELTS score of 5.5 or higher is required for admission.
