Course summary
This program will create a caring and supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and student achievement through the use of a performance-based curriculum while being responsive to the individual needs of each student; promote the importance of professional development and lifelong learning for students; provide students with opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of the issues and challenges presented by a dynamic and rapidly evolving global business environment; cultivate a greater awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity, social responsibility, and ethical decision-making in students. Graduates of the program will demonstrate an ability to utilize generally accepted accounting principles and managerial/cost accounting practices; integrate international operations into the accounting process; demonstrate an ability to utilize taxation regulations and auditing practices; be prepared for employment responsibilities and certification testing.
Entry requirement for international students
Students seeking admission to this University must have a minimum score of 500 in paper-based, 173 in computer-based or 61 in internet-based TOEFL. Studentss with a TOEFL score below 500, 173 or 61 and willing to study in Rapid City campus are required to participate in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program until they satisfy the required completion criteria. Studentss are also required to have one of the following: official academic transcript or marks sheets from previous secondary education institutions and universities attended; a transcript from an accredited US higher education institution or from an international institution that is approved by the country’s national ministry of education or appropriate approved body indicating completion of a post-secondary program or certified GED examination report.
