Course summary
This program is designed to prepare competent members of healthcare teams and to alleviate shortages of healthcare professionals in this field. Professional capabilities include reviewing and recording pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data, performing sonographic procedures, and recording anatomical changes, pathological changes, physiological data, and pertinent observations during procedures. Upon completion of the program, students will earn a Bachelor of Science in MIT with a concentration in diagnostic medical sonography. Graduates are eligible to take the state and national certifying examinations.

Entry requirement for international students
Students should have a minimum 2.0 GPA with a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Associate of Science degree in a science-related field from a regionally accredited institution. Competitive pre-admission assessment scores in reading, writing & math - administered at CDU. Passing rate on physical examination conducted by a licensed physician . Students should submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended. Students should have an ability to lift 25lbs without assistance. They should have any visual and/or hearing impairments with appropriate correctable devices. They require ewer than 30 units of completion in all/any post-secondary curriculum from a regionally accredited institution. SAT and /or ACT scores are required.
