Course summary
This program is designed to prepare students as competent members of the healthcare team and to help alleviate this field’s shortage of healthcare professionals. Professional capabilities include radiation physics and radiation safety, skill in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and using radiation detection devices to conduct in vivo and in vitro procedures. Technologists may perform either diagnostic or therapeutic examinations in response to a physician’s request. Upon completion of the program, students will earn a Bachelor of Science in MIT with a concentration in nuclear medicine technology. Graduates are eligible to take the state and national certifying examinations.

Entry requirement for international students
Students should have a minimum 2.0 GPA with a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Associate of Science degree in a science-related field from a regionally accredited institution. Competitive pre-admission assessment scores in reading, writing & math - administered at CDU. 100 minimum hours paid or community service experience in medical healthcare setting . Passing rate on physical examination conducted by a licensed physician . Students should submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended. Students should have an ability to lift 25lbs without assistance. They should have any visual and/or hearing impairments with appropriate correctable devices. They require ewer than 30 units of completion in all/any post-secondary curriculum from a regionally accredited institution. SAT and /or ACT scores are required.
