This program's curriculum is well integrated and modern with a strong emphasis on field skills and team work. People who love to work in the woods and are interested in the sustainable management of forests study forestry at Michigan Tech. Graduates of the Forestry program are employed by the US Forest Service, State Divisions of Forestry, Forest Industry and Forestry and Environmental Consulting Firms.

Entry requirement for international students
Students must have a 2.75 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) for admitting into College of Engineering or School of Technology, 2.5 for other programs and schools, a minimum 550 PBT, 213 CBT, 79 iBT (paper-based, computer-based, internet-based) in TOEFL or 690 in TOEIC or 6.5 overall band score in IELTS, minimum 420 writing, 500 critical reading, (550 Math/Quantitative) in SAT 1.
