Course summary
This program prepares graduates to function as managers and clinicians in a variety of settings such as hospitals, clinics, community health, schools, home care, long term care, employee health, managed care organizations, group medical practices, manufacturing, medical technology and supply organizations, advocacy and associations, the health insurance industry, and financial consultant services. The Concentration in Assisted Living Administration is designed to provide graduates with the operational, marketing, resident care, and hospitality services skills required to become effective leaders and managers of assisted living/senior housing communities. Equally important, the program provides exposure to and understanding of the unique philosophy of assisted living relative to choice, dignity, autonomy, and quality of life for older adults.

Entry requirement for international students
Applicants should have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) for course work completed in grades 9 through 12. Level of difficulty of course work selected throughout high school, particularly in the areas of English, mathematics, social studies, laboratory science, and foreign language. A minimum TOEFL score of 88 or higher on the internet-based exam, 230 or higher on the computer-based exam, and 570 or higher on the paper-based exam or a minimum score of 6.5 on IELTS is required. A minimum score of 450 or higher on the SAT I critical reading section or an ACT-English score of 20 or higher is also required.
