This program provides sufficient grounding for a graduate to perform effectively, over time, in industry or other employment and to provide opportunity for all types of students, while maintaining a high level of excellence in all graduates. This Program also provides students with a program of study that emphasizes the major areas of metallurgical and materials engineering.

Entry requirement for international students
Students applying for this program must have official transcripts from the schools or colleges attended. If English is the secondary language of the students then they must write SAT or Act exams. If English is not the secondary language of the students then they must write TOEFL exams. Applicants whose primary language is Spanish and who lack the proficiency in English must write PAA (Prueba de Aptitud Academica). The minimum required test scores: for - SAT 920, for ACT - 20 and for TOEFL - 500. For Spanish students the minimum TOEFL score is 1000. These test scores must be sent to the university directly by the testing agency.
