Course summary
The purpose of the bachelor of science in nursing program is to prepare a generalist professional nurse to deliver care in a variety of health care settings, meet the state requirements for eligibility to take the National Council Licensure Examination - Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN), and obtain a sound basis for graduate study in nursing.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants to UH Manoa are expected to have completed certain requirements in high school. Professional and certain other programs may have specific GPA and prerequisite course work requirements. Students who do not have any university/college coursework will be required to submit either the SAT or ACT. Both are not required. Minimum TOEFL Scores required are: Computer Score 173, Internet Score 61, Paper Score 500. 2.50 is the minimum GPA requirement for international applicants transferring from an U.S. institution. Professional and certain other programs may require higher GPAs and additional prerequisite course work.
