Course summary
The bachelor’s degree program is the basic preparation for professional nursing practice and leadership positions in nursing. After completing the program, the graduate is qualified for nursing positions in public health agencies, schools, hospitals and other health-care providers. Nursing school graduates may also earn commissioned status in the military services, as well as admission to graduate education.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have a 3.0 (weighted/unweighted) GPA in the academic courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada. Students must be graduate of an approved or accredited high school. The minimum scores required for admission are: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 61 (iBT-Internet-Based Test), 500 (Paper-Based Test), or 173 (Computer-Based Test). International English Language Testing System (IELTS- must be academic version) with an equivalency score of 6. Completion of English 101 or equivalent from another U.S. higher education institution.
