The Capstone College of Nursing is the division of The University of Alabama charged with the responsibility of preparing graduates for the professional practice of nursing. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Graduates also possess the knowledge and skills essential for life long learning within a rapidly changing health care system and are prepared for further study at the graduate level. The Capstone College of Nursing is committed to the provision of excellent nursing education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Colleges commitment is demonstrated by an undergraduate and graduate curriculum that is responsive to changes in the health care system.

Accommodation details

Residents of campus housing have access to many resources, including various services and facilities located in and near the residence halls. These include access to: Resnet, Computer Labs, Telecom and Bama Dining locations. Residence Hall Association Bryce Lawn is an upperclassmen apartment community located on Bryce Lawn Drive between Campus and University. Each apartment features three single bedrooms. Each bedroom is furnished with a twin bed, desk, and dresser. The three residents share one full bathroom and a half bath that contains a sink and shower. The living room is furnished with a sofa and chair. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, electric stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and kitchen table with chairs. The Highlands feature furnished apartments with four students sharing a living/dining room area, kitchen, 3 bathrooms (with 1 shower, 1 bathtub/shower, 2 toilets and 3 sinks) and three bedrooms. The large bedroom is a double bedroom and the two smaller bedrooms are singles. The layout of handicapped-accessible apartments varies in the lakeside residence halls Each private room is furnished with a 3 drawer chest, a split pedestal desk, an upholstered two- position desk chair, and a junior loft bed.
